Just installed this epic automotive sandbox last night and stayed up playing it till 4am. Closest thing to a real driving simulator yet, complete with comprehensive crash physics and mechanical damage from driver abuse. Soo good.

I love that game so much.

It’s pretty fun sim. I play it every now and then.
My favorite map American road I think it’s called doesnt work well on the latest update. It had some excellent trails to rock crawl. One of them took almost an hour to get to the top of the mountain!
My lifted truck I customized on the Italy map
and one from American road. Stopping a truck from stealing rocks :P

I have a hard time being interested past an hour or so, it starts to feel like a loneliness simulator. Having a computer that could run at more then 20fps and support more then 2 active cars would probably help that

I love it, but it’s a bit of a pig with a wheel. Don’t know why, but I prefer using a controller with it.

I like the idea of a game like this but if they're devoid of other life, it can get boring.
Seems this was launc hed a while ago, a re the graphics realistic and still relevant?

Less then recommended, don't know off the top of my head. Its an i5 but not a good one in a Lenovo laptop

There’s a multi-player add on for it called BeamMP
Graphics are good, not great.

I love it, I’ve been playing it on and off since the first playable Alpha (I think?). It’s one of those games which makes me feel like a kid, allowing for imaginary scenarios to go along with what’s going on on the screen. My favorite way to play it is to go rock-crawling, often with an underpowered and ill-prepared truck, or a lifted hatchback or something. The customizing options are fantastic, I recommend getting into the modding as soon as you feel a bit of boredom starting to creep in. It’s very easy and user-friendly to install mods, there are a bunch of different new cars and maps to try out.
Good luck with it!

It’s fun. I’ve had the game for few years and followed the development since before the launch of the first public versions. Definitely needs a powerful computer to be enjoyed to the fullest.

What are your settings? I’m trying with my G29 but it gets weirdly grabby and heavy around the middle of the axis for no reason.

I didn’t touch the wheel settings. It was pretty good out of the box, amazingly

G29 here, maybe I’ve got the settings wrong but one quarter turn of the wheel gives me full lock. I’ve been doing too much iRacing lately so I haven’t played with it much.

Hmm, I may have to reset to default and give it another try! I think I’m just not used to the force feedback, it feels kind of weird and unnatural to me.

You should be able to set it to 900 degrees of rotation, as is the native range of the G29; I still find it weird and glitchy, but I have read that it’s not as well optimized for the G29 as for the G25 or G27 for whatever reason.

If you can, get Automation along with it. That way you can build your own cars and crash them (though it’s a little sad to destroy your own creation).
Lots of fun things to do in Beam, and plenty of cool mods and maps that’ll eat up your time. I like crashing a car and driving it till it dies (in harsh environments like the Utah map).
Have fun pal!

That’s news to me, and I may just have to download that addon.
